"Science Points" For fifth grade only, these are incentives for students to give out a bit of extra effort. We work them like a game although it's not  a contest. Students earn some for not wasting any time during class and some for home work (including bringing back papers from you). The more you understand this the more points you can help your child earn. HW: bringing back completed HW earns 5 points Forms: bringing back signed forms from home earns 5 points (the signature must be from "the" responsible adult) Feedback (from home): earns 5 points, either through email or notes; this include sharing what happend in trying out one of the suggested "recipes" Science Conversations: completed form (or something similar) earns 10 points each (but no more than once a week); the conversation should be based on the science work going on at the Manning. However, this form can also be used to report out on a visit to a science museum or center (which could include places like the Arnold Arboretum).
