MA LS (96 version): Properties and Changes of Earth’s Materials: Observe and show that air has properties that can be identified and measured, such as wind speed and direction, temperature, moisture, the occurrence of clouds, and the fall of precipitation. Know that together these properties and events for a particular place and time is called the weather.
MA LS (01 version): K-2 Earth Science: Describe the weather changes from day to day and over the seasons.
BPS LS: Weather changes daily, weekly, monthly

*The teacher should encourage students to elaborate, give more than the minimum, and strive for a Level 4.

A student response correctly giving the minimum number of responses or details is a Level 3.

In order to achieve a Level 4, a student must go above and beyond what is asked. For example, the student gives more than the required minimum or makes additional connections.
